Warren Alpert Foundation Prize
Note: This is not a limited submission and is being announced as a courtesy only.
The Warren Alpert Foundation Prize Scientific Advisory Committee seeks nominations for the 2026 Warren Alpert Foundation Prize.
The prize recognizes one to five scientists whose scientific achievements have led to the prevention, cure, or treatment of human disorders or for seminal research that holds great promise to change our ability to treat disease. Scientists of all nationalities and institutional affiliations are eligible to receive the prize. Self-nominations are not accepted.
If you need assistance or have questions about the nomination process, please contact Edward Canton at warrenalpertprize@hms.harvard.edu. We look forward to receiving your nominations of accomplished researchers for this prestigious award. If you have already submitted a nomination, we appreciate your support.
A special scientific symposium in honor of the recipient(s) is held each October at Harvard Medical School.
Inquiries and Contact Information
Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
For general inquiries, or to request a listing of a limited submission opportunity that should be but is not already listed, please email us at limitedsubs@uw.edu.
