ASU–Science Prize for Transformational Impact

Limited Submissions

Note: This is not a limited submission and is being announced as a courtesy only.

This prize recognizes transformational research that uses innovative methods to identify problems and develop solutions directly influencing policy and decision-making.

The grand prize winner will receive a prize of $30,000 USD and their prize-winning essay will be published in Science online and print. A finalist will receive $10,000 USD and their essay published in Science online. Both will be honored at an award ceremony in Phoenix, Arizona in spring 2027.

Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.
