Childhood, Adolescent and Young Adult Cancer Data Innovation Challenge

The Childhood, Adolescent and Young Adult (AYA) Cancer Data Innovation Challenge seeks innovative solutions and approaches that will enrich resources (data, methods, or tools) within the CCDI Data Ecosystem, build a federated learning health system, and enable exploration, visualization, interoperability, integration and analyses to benefit the outcome of childhood and AYA cancer patients.

The Challenge will comprise two distinct phases, with each not exceeding 36-months. Phase I of the Challenge will consider innovative submissions for adding new “shovel-ready” and diverse data types/datasets and/or analytical tools to the CCDI Data Ecosystem (Track 1), and/or new solutions for effectively utilizing CCDI resources alone or in combination with other resources for improved understanding of disease mechanisms (Track 2). These solutions may address the unmet needs in basic research, pre-clinical studies, clinical trials, real-world evidence, population studies, or biospecimen repositories relevant to the broader childhood and AYA cancer community.

Inquiries and Contact Information

Investigators who identify a grant, award or fellowship program that restricts the number of applications that can be submitted from an Institution should immediately contact their Chairperson, Associate Dean for Research (or Dean, if no ADR) and the Office of Research (see below) if they intend to prepare a response. Failure to do so, or to meet the deadlines for submission of pre-proposal, will preclude submission of the application through the Office of Sponsored Programs.

For general inquiries, or to request a listing of a limited submission opportunity that should be but is not already listed, please email us at limitedsubs@uw.edu.
