Recognition and Privileges Accorded Emeriti of the University of Washington

In addition to those privileges accorded all retirees, Emeriti of the University of Washington:

May apply as principal investigators for research grants to be administered by the University (Executive Order #34, Revised June 15, 1979);

Are eligible to sit on graduate student supervisory committees;

Are listed in the Departmental entries in the front section of the Faculty/Staff Directory and, unless they request otherwise, individually in the back section. On written request they are mailed a free copy of the Directory;

Are listed in the Programs of Study of the General Catalog of the University of Washington. On request to UW Special Services, Box 355835 they are entitled to a free copy of the catalog;

Are eligible to march in graduation and other formal ceremonies of the University;

May be appointed ex officio members of Faculty Senate councils and subcommittees at the invitation of a Senate Council chairperson and on approval of the Senate Executive Committee;

May be appointed by chairpersons to serve as members of University administrative committees;

May establish or maintain an existing Uniform Access computer account; and

Those who continue to participate in research, teaching and public service on behalf of the University are eligible to purchase products at discounted prices at the University Book Store.
