The UW Retirement Center promotes continued involvement of retired faculty and staff in the life of the University community. The Retirement Center serves UW employees, prospective retirees and current retirees as a source for referral and assistance regarding UW retirement questions. The Center is a liaison for UW retirees with the Office of the Provost, the Faculty Council on Benefits & Retirement and University offices. In concert with the UWRA the Center also offers information on retirement transitions. UW
Retiree Privileges Eldercare UWRA The UWRA, a non-profit, member-based group of higher education retirees and UW employees, is an active social and service-oriented organization. UWRA offers resources on retirement transitions for employees and events that enhance retirees' continued connection with the university, the wider community and one another. The UWRA has affiliated in development of two regional retirement communities. It has funded almost half a million dollars in scholarship and fellowship endowments for UW students studying toward careers in aging-related fields.
