The University of Washington recognizes the continuing contributions of retirees following employment. UW retirees are encouraged to be an ongoing part of the University community. In honor of past accomplishments and to further retiree roles, the following privileges are accorded all UW retirees.

UW Benefits Office
The UW Benefits Office places a strong emphasis on its role as a provider of service and continues this service to retirees. Assistance is available to UW retirees regarding retirement plans, retiree health insurance, death benefits, Medicare and Social Security information. Also available are a variety of educational and informational opportunities such as the annual employee and retiree benefits fairs.

University of Washington Retirement Association
All University retirees and active employees are invited to join the University of Washington Retirement Association. The Association was organized in 1975 to benefit retirees.

Parking
Complimentary campus parking is available to fully retired UW retirees, their spouses or same-sex domestic partners (one permit per couple). Permit is not transferable to others, including relatives. To request a new ID card please contact the Benefits Office.

Cultural and Social Opportunities

Burke Museum of Natural History and Culture
A special yearly membership of $20.00 (for a single senior) or $30.00 (for a dual senior membership) is available to retired faculty and staff and their surviving spouses, of any age, upon presentation of a University identification card.

Husky Union Building and South Campus Center
The Husky Union Building (HUB) and South Campus Center (BCC) is open to retired faculty, staff and their spouses. Discounts for bowling, billiards, or table tennis are available to retirees. For hours and information, call 206-543-1447.

UW (Faculty) Club
Retired faculty and staff are eligible for membership at the University of Washington Club at reduced rates. For more information please call 206-543-0437.

School of Drama
Seniors (60+) ticket prices are valid for all School of Drama performances throughout the year. Tickets can be purchased in advance at the UW Arts Ticket Office for $12 each. For more information on School of Drama events call 206-543-5140.

UW Dance Program
Seniors (60+) are eligible for a special rate of $10 each to all UW Dance Program concerts through the UW Arts Ticket Office (for advance purchases) and at the venue box office one hour prior to the start of the performance. For more information on all UW Dance Program events please call 206-543-9843.

School of Music
The School of Music offers senior (60+) discounts on some tickets and on "Notecards" season passes to most concerts. For more information or to purchase tickets please call the School of Music at 206-543-1201.

Henry Art Gallery
UW retirees may use their retiree "Husky" card for one free admission per visit to the Henry Art Gallery. The Henry is located at the corner of 15th Ave NE and NE 41st Street. Phone: 206-543-2280.

Educational Opportunities

Experimental College
Offers non-credit classes in over twenty different categories.

University Library
Retired faculty and staff and their spouses may use the University Libraries. Books may be borrowed upon presentation of a University of Washington identification card or a bar-coded library card. Spouses of retired faculty and staff should contact the Library Cashier located on the ground floor of Suzzallo, 206-543-1174.

University BookStore
Your membership in UWRA entitles you to a 10% point of sale discount when you have your UWRA card present or are using a University BookStore charge card.

ACCESS Program
Individuals who are 60 years of age or older may register as auditors, on a space-available basis in University of Washington credit courses by paying registration fee.

OSHER Lifelong Learning at UW

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at the University of Washington invites adults over 50 to come together to share intellectual interests and make new friends. Current and retired UW faculty and community experts lead workshops and special events.

UW Educational Outreach
UW Educational Outreach offers a wide variety of credit and non-credit courses.

Athletic Events

Football
Retired faculty and staff, their surviving spouses, and surviving spouses of those who died before retirement retain the same football ticket priorities to which they were entitled prior to retirement, or death of a spouse, and continue to build priority points for regular annual ticket purchases. Service points will be frozen upon retirement. Non-ticket holders may obtain information about the football season ticket priority system by contacting the Husky Ticket Office, 101 Graves Building (Box 354070), 206-543-2200.

Basketball
Also available at faculty rates are two non-transferable Men's and/or Women's Basketball Season tickets, good for all home basketball games, with the exception of conference or NCAA playoffs and meets, and special non-conference athletic events. Applications can be obtained by contacting the Husky Ticket Office, 101 Graves Building (Box 354070), Seattle, WA 98195-4070; or 206-543-2200.

Recreational Sports

IMA
Retired faculty and staff may use the facilities of the Intramural Activities Building upon payment of the regular faculty/staff annual, quarterly or single use fee and presentation of your University of Washington Retired Faculty/Staff identification card. Those who purchase an annual or quarterly IMA Membership Card may also purchase an independent-access IMA Membership for their spouse/registered same sex domestic partner. Golf Range and Waterfront Activities Center
Retired faculty and staff may use the facilities of the University of Washington Golf Driving Range and the Waterfront Activities Center upon payment of the regular faculty/staff rates and presentation of a University of Washington Retired Faculty/Staff identification card.
