UWRA Scholarships and Fellowships
UWRA’s scholarships and fellowships support UW students headed toward careers in aging-related fields. Students from a wide variety of majors apply for these awards.
Spring 2009 Scholarship and Fellowship Awards
In Spring 2009 the UWRA awarded five $3,000 scholarships to UW students. In addition, a one-year graduate fellowship of $15,000 was awarded.
Scholarships
A substantial endowment and generous member donations make it possible for us to award annual scholarships totaling $12,000. Our UWRA scholarship endowment increases annually, thanks to member donations and University House community fees. Members also donate to boost the amount of annual scholarship awards.

Scholarship applications
UWRA seeks applicants from a wide range of programs. Recent applicants have included majors in Architecture, Audiology, Comparative History of Ideas, Pharmacy and
Health Administration.
Scholarship application and deadline date for the coming year are posted in later fall at the link below. Paper copies are available from the UW Student Financial Aid and Scholarships Office, Room 105 Schmitz Hall. Scholarships are awarded in the spring.

Fellowships
Annual graduate fellowship awards are drawn from established UWRA endowed fellowship funds. Notification regarding fellowships is distributed to departments by the Graduate School early in the calendar year.
