Goals

Goal 1. Development of Theories and Algorithms

Assess existing theories and algorithms in biosystem modeling and modify as required for potential inclusion in RFPK software products. Develop new theories and algorithms based upon researchers’ needs and advances in mathematical and statistical theories for potential inclusion in RFPK software products.

Goal 2. Development of Software Products

Design, develop and maintain biosystem modeling software products in response to researchers’ needs and to advances in modeling theory, algorithms, computer technologies and software engineering.

Goal 3. Distribution and Promotion

Develop a distribution plan for RFPK software products, identify new areas of application for the products, and develop a plan to promote the application of the products.

Goal 4. Support, Education and Training

Provide ongoing and timely support, education and training in population modeling and the application of RFPK software products.

Goal 5. Organization

Develop and maintain an organizational structure that will permit RFPK to run efficiently as a self-sustaining entity within the University of Washington.
