Arthritis Foundation
The mission of the Arthritis Foundation is to improve lives through leadership in the prevention, control, and cure of arthritis related diseases. On a national level, the foundation supports research to help find cures for rheumatic diseases, and has provided support for research in the UW Division of Rheumatology over the years. In addition to this, the Pacific Northwest Chapter of the Arthritis Foundation also supports our fellowship program which helps train new rheumatologists to serve Washington, Wyoming, Alaska, Montana and Idaho. “This is a great partnership for us because we share so many common goals – including improving patients’ access to care and services and supporting education for the community”, said Scott Weaver, President and CEO of the Pacific Northwest Chapter. It is this commitment to community outreach and education that makes them proud supporters of the UW Division of Rheumatology.
