Date: Monday June 21- Thursday June 24
Location: University of California San Diego
Cost: $100
Time Commitment: 2 hours per week
Application Deadline: Tuesday, March 31st at 5pm

Description:

The National Association of College and University Residence Halls (NACURH) is the largest student run organization in the world. Over 3000 student leaders from residence halls across the country (including Canada and Mexico) gather in one place for the weekend of their lives! During the day, students choose from a list of programs offered at the conference that specialize in a wide range of categories; from social justice to group team builders. Additionally, you will have the unique opportunity to socialize and network with student leaders who share your similar passions from colleges and universities as far away as New York and Florida. The experience you will be a part of will have lasting impacts not only for you personally but also for the residence hall communities as a whole. Delegates to the conference will be exposed to new ideas for programming, community outreach, resident advocacy, development of leadership skills, social issues, and many more essential topics for student leaders.

Besides programs and networking, school spirit is the largest aspect of this conference. Imagine a sea of college students decked out in spirit colors and costumes, then add to it the energy of a rock concert and you will get some idea. You will scream, holler, and cheer for you school all throughout the conference. Expect to leave with no voice. Aside from during the programs and meals, the nightlife offers students the best chance to meet one another and network. The activities for the conference have yet to be announced but given that last year had a concert and several bounce houses, you can expect nothing short of amazingness!!

There are only a few requirements to be able to apply to attend this conference. First, you must live in the residence halls. Second, you must be returning to the halls next year. Lastly, you have to love school spirit and be ready for the time of your life!!!!
