His research interests include improving youth mental health outcomes by (1) identifying individual- and organizational-level barriers and facilitators of the implementation of evidence-based practices (EBPs)&nbsp;and (2) designing and\/or tailoring implementation strategies to increase the adoption of EBPs in local and global community-based settings. Rashed is originally from Kuwait. Prior to coming to UW, he received a BS in Psychology from Indiana University, Bloomington. After that, he conducted research in pediatric primary care and obtained his Master\u2019s in Clinical Research, specializing in Implementation Science, from the University of California, San Francisco (UCSF). Noah\u2019s research interests include applying dissemination and implementation science to increase access and quality of mental health care in domestic and international settings. He is particularly interested in technology-based approaches to support mental health care providers and conducting interdisciplinary research to improve health equity. Noah received his BA in Psychology and Global Health from Duke University. Prior to coming to UW, Noah worked as a research analyst in the Child and Adolescent Research and Evaluation program at <a href=\"https:\/\/www.rti.org\/\">RTI International<\/a>. After completing his national service in Ghana, he went to the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) for his MPhil in Human Development. From there, he went to the University of Mississippi for his PhD in Clinical Psychology and received his Pre-doctoral Clinical Psychology Internship training at the Medical University of South Carolina (Charleston Consortium), focusing on trauma and behavioral medicine. His research interests focus on how to optimally use research to improve population outcomes and reduce service inefficiencies that pose endemic challenge to health and social care systems. She completed her clinical internship at UCLA and is now a postdoctoral fellow at UCLA. Prerna\u2019s research interests focused on improving access to mental health services for youth and families through the dissemination and implementation of EBPs in underserved communities. She was particularly interested in the delivery of community-driven interventions through task-shifting approaches. Prerna is originally from New Delhi, India. She received her BA in Social &amp; Cognitive Neuroscience from Harvard University and her MPH in Global Health from Boston University. Rosemary attended her clinical internship at the University of Washington\/Seattle Children\u2019s Hospital. An experienced global health practitioner, Caroline provided primary and emergency health care services in several hospitals in Kenya prior to completing an Msc in STI and HIV at the University College London and working with Medicin San Frontier\u2019s (MSF) HIV programs in Zimbabwe. She then served as a Technical Advisor seconded to the Mozambique Ministry of Health national HIV and Malaria programs where she was at the core of program scale up closely accompanying health system strengthening around program management, monitoring and evaluation (M&amp;E), health workforce and health financing. More recently she led a comprehensive national immunization program process evaluation project in Mozambique as part of her PhD studies, conducting implementation research focused on identifying determinants of health program implementation success and failure. Her aspiration is to continue to contribute knowledge to implementation science. Julie is now serving as a postdoctoral fellow at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/centers.rowanmedicine.com\/cares\/\">CARES<\/a>&nbsp;Institute, working with Dr. Esther Deblinger. Julie is broadly interested in EBP implementation readiness and sustainability and has specific interests in applying Organizational Behavioral theories to enhance implementation efforts within the public mental health system. Prior to her graduate studies at UW, Julie obtained her bachelor\u2019s degree from Temple University, where she worked as the clinical coordinator for the (<a href=\"http:\/\/childanxiety.org\/wps\/\">CAADC<\/a>). After graduating, she worked as a research assistant at&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.med.upenn.edu\/cottage\/\">COTTAGe<\/a>&nbsp;at the University of Pennsylvania. Julie attended her internship in San Diego at the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/medschool.ucsd.edu\/som\/psychiatry\/education\/Programs\/Pages\/psychology-internship.aspx\">University of California- San Diego Consortium\/Veteran\u2019s Affairs clinical internship<\/a>. She has experience in&nbsp;implementation and dissemination of evidence based mental health treatments for children, adolescents and their guardians in Western Kenya and the United States.&nbsp;She has previously aided in provision of a continuum of free health care involving culturally sensitive and competent community education on HIV, other STIs as well as pregnancy counseling and testing services, cessation of drug use and medical case management. She\u2019s been involved in a study that worked on implementing Spirometry programs in developing countries. He is currently a research coordinator in two labs at the University of Washington. In one lab, he assists with assessing a lay delivery model to examine whether simplified Behavioral Activation delivered by senior center staff can yield comparable clinical outcomes to professionally delivered Behavioral Activation, and in the other, he is responsible for the coordination of a K23 longitudinal, National Institutes of Health (NIH) funded, treatment study for adolescents experiencing Major Depressive Disorder, who have also been exposed to maltreatment. He is interested in applying to graduate programs and studying implementation science and evidence-based treatments for children and underserved populations. Cristian aspires to attain his Ph.D. in clinical psychology with a focus on children and adolescents. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Vanna Chen<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Vanna (Liang-Yu) Chen received her BA in Psychology at the University of Washington in 2013. She joined the Dorsey Lab as an undergraduate research assistant for the <a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/risemh\/supervision-to-enhance-practice-study-steps\/\">STEPS Project<\/a> in January of 2013. Her main responsibilities were coding and conducting research interviews with study participants. Her research interests include enhancing clinical treatments for children and their families affected by psychological disorders.&nbsp;In the fall of 2014, she entered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mailman.columbia.edu\/academics\/degrees\/master-public-health\/columbia-mph\">MPH program at Columbia University Mailman School of Public Health<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jessica Garcia<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jes\u00adsica Gar\u00adcia joined Dr. Dorsey\u2019s lab as an under\u00adgrad\u00adu\u00adate research assis\u00adtant in Jan\u00adu\u00adary of 2011. Jes\u00adsica received her BA in psy\u00adchol\u00adogy in June of 2013 from the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Wash\u00ading\u00adton. After graduating, she worked&nbsp;as a research assis\u00adtant&nbsp;on&nbsp;the STEPS study and at&nbsp;Seat\u00adtle Children\u2019s Hospital. Her research inter\u00adests include dis\u00adsem\u00adi\u00adna\u00adtion of EBPS into com\u00admu\u00adnity men\u00adtal health, trauma, the applic\u00ada\u00adbil\u00adity of com\u00adpo\u00adnents based ther\u00ada\u00adpies such as CBT+, and global men\u00adtal health.&nbsp;In the fall of 2015, she entered the <a href=\"https:\/\/socialwork.columbia.edu\/academics\/msw-program\/\">MSW pro\u00adgram at Colum\u00adbia University<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Meilin Jia-Richards<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Meilin Jia-Richards received her BS in Psy\u00adchol\u00adogy from the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Wash\u00ading\u00adton in 2013. As an under\u00adgrad\u00adu\u00adate, she joined the Devel\u00adop\u00admen\u00adtal Path\u00adways Project <a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/dppstudy\/\">(DPP)<\/a> work\u00ading on a vari\u00adety of stud\u00adies. After graduating, she became&nbsp;a research assis\u00adtant on the STEPS team&nbsp;and&nbsp;DPP.&nbsp;In the fall of 2015, she entered the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/psychologyneuroscience\/index.php?id=946286\">Exper\u00adi\u00admen\u00adtal Psy\u00adchol\u00adogy Ph.D. pro\u00adgram&nbsp;at Bay\u00adlor Uni\u00adver\u00adsity<\/a>&nbsp;under the men\u00adtor\u00adship of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.baylor.edu\/psychologyneuroscience\/index.php?id=946792\">Dr. Sara&nbsp;Dolan<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Jane Koltracht<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Jane received her&nbsp;BA&nbsp;in Psy\u00adchol\u00adogy from the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Wash\u00ading\u00adton in 2010. She began her research expe\u00adri\u00adence as an under\u00adgrad\u00adu\u00adate research assis\u00adtant with the <a href=\"http:\/\/depts.washington.edu\/dppstudy\/\">Devel\u00adop\u00admen\u00adtal Path\u00adways Research Pro\u00adgram<\/a> in 2008&nbsp;and&nbsp;con\u00adtin\u00adued her work on numer\u00adous projects within the&nbsp;UW&nbsp;depart\u00adments of Psy\u00adchi\u00ada\u00adtry and Psy\u00adchol\u00adogy, as well as at Seat\u00adtle Children\u2019s Hos\u00adpi\u00adtal. In the fall of 2013, she entered a Master\u2019s pro\u00adgram at New York University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Zo\u00eb Miles<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zo\u00eb Miles&nbsp;graduated from the University of Washington with a&nbsp;BS in psychology. She completed her honors thesis on memory and development in Dr. Kate McLaughlin\u2019s <a href=\"https:\/\/sdlab.fas.harvard.edu\/people2\">Stress and Development Lab<\/a>.&nbsp;She joined the lab as an undergraduate research assistant and now works on the STEPS study as a research assistant.&nbsp;She is&nbsp;particularly interested in clinical and developmental psychology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Stephanie Violante<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Stephanie Violante received her&nbsp;BS&nbsp;in Psy\u00adchol\u00adogy at the Uni\u00adver\u00adsity of Wash\u00ading\u00adton in 2013. She&nbsp;was an undergraduate research assistant&nbsp;for the&nbsp;STEPS&nbsp;project and the Devel\u00adop\u00adment Path\u00adways Project&nbsp;(DPP). After grad\u00adu\u00ada\u00adtion, Stephanie started working&nbsp;as&nbsp;a research assis\u00adtant for both the&nbsp;STEPS&nbsp;study and&nbsp;DPP.
