From SeaTac. If you rent a car at SeaTac airport, follow the signs to Interstate 5 (I-5) northbound toward Seattle and Vancouver, BC. Stay on I-5 through downtown Seattle and continue north to exit #169 (NE 45th Street). Turn right to go eastbound on NE 45th Street.

From Oregon. If you are driving north on I-5 from Oregon or California, take exit #169 and turn right to go eastbound on NE 45th Street.

From Canada. If you are driving south on I-5 from Canada, take exit #169 and turn left to go eastbound on NE 45th Street.

From the East. If you are coming east on I-90, turn onto I-5 north, pass downtown Seattle, take exit #169 and turn right to go eastbound on NE 45th Street.

To the Conference Facilities (Meany and Kane Halls): Go east on NE 45th Street for 8 blocks until 15th Avenue NE. Turn right onto 15th and go south three blocks to NE 41st Street. Turn left on NE 41st into the UW Central Parking Garage. Pay the daily parking fee as you enter; signs on the garage walls will guide you to Meany and Kane Halls.

To the UW dorms:  Go east on NE 45th Street for 3 blocks to Roosevelt Way NE. Turn right onto Roosevelt (one way southbound) and drive 3 blocks to NE Campus Parkway.  Just before the bridge across the ship canal, there is a small red light on the road divider; turn left here onto NE Campus Parkway, and Terry Hall will be the first building on your right.  Park on the street while you check in, or pay the minimum parking fee at the street kiosk if you arrive during the daytime Monday through Saturday.  When you check in at the Terry Hall desk, you can purchase a visitor parking permit for a UW parking lot for the remainder of your stay.

To the Silver Cloud Inn: Go east on NE 45th Street for about 1 mile, passing UW on your right. Just past UW, descend down the steep overpass (the "viaduct"). Take the first unmarked exit (a sharp right turn at the bottom of the viaduct) and merge into Montlake Boulevard. Immediately turn right again onto NE 25th Avenue (passing under the viaduct). The hotel is 5 blocks north on NE 25th Avenue, just past University Village shopping center on your right (east) side.

To the University Tower Hotel: Go east on NE 45th Street for 6 blocks to Brooklyn Avenue NE. The hotel is on the northwest corner of the intersection; turn left (north) onto Brooklyn to enter the hotel parking lot.

To the Watertown Hotel or University Inn: Go east on NE 45th Street for 3 blocks to Roosevelt Way NE. Turn right onto Roosevelt (one-way southbound) and immediately get into the left lane. The Watertown Hotel is 1 block south on your left. The University Inn is 2 blocks south on your left.
