UW Rome Center, located on the Campo de' Fiori, is a tremendous resource for the University. It is the only residential foreign study facility operated by the University and is one of only a few such centers in Rome. Approximately 16 UW departments offer academic programs at the Rome Center, and new programs are being developed on a continuing basis. Students gain significant skills in living in a different culture, speaking a foreign language, and experiencing firsthand the history of Rome, wellspring of western civilization and culture.
