550 people in town, class B high school: 80% Indian, 250

Community history, legends?
Old Inchelium - washed out by building of the dam -1930's
one of our great grandmothers had to move
What does it value?
School community: sports. Strong sense of family, main
people related, easy to fit in after leaving.

What is the biggest weekly event?
Friday night football or basketball games
What is the biggest annual Event?
- Inchelium Days: bargain fair, live band horse races ( happens
during summer)
- Rodeo -not happening anymore
- School Carnival to raise money for ASB
What is the history of the annual event?
Only second or third year for Inchelium Days

Even people from other towns
Only some people from outside of town, but the whole town comes

everybody sells tickets, post signs, the Colville paper--but we
have
to pay for it
