Ben Michaels, B.S.
PAA President
Ben graduated from the UW School of Pharmacy
in 1997 and has been employed with Franciscan Health Systems at
St. Francis Hospital since 1994. He is the chair of the Systems
Infectious Disease Core Group. Ben is currently working on his external
doctor of pharmacy degree and hopes to graduate in 2010.
He enjoys precepting pharmacy students in his
position. Not only does he find value in teaching them, but he often
learns from them, too, in this ever-changing profession.
Ben and his wife, Darcey, have been married for
almost four years. They enjoy traveling, camping, snowshoeing, working
in their yard, and going to baseball games. They hope to start a
family soon but are content to keep the peace between their dog
and cat for now. Ben also enjoys golfing, cooking, wine-tasting
and hiking.
"I really enjoy the time that I spend working with the PAA,"
says Ben. "It helps keep me connected with the School and is
a great opportunity to give back to the program." |
