Jenny Arnold, Pharm.D.
PAA Incoming President
Jenny Arnold (Riddell) graduated from the UW
School of Pharmacy in 2006. After graduation, she completed a pharmacy
practice residency at Swedish Medical Center and then began working
for Kelley-Ross Pharmacy as the clinical services manager. This
position allows her to help underserved patients manage their medications
and disease states, work with Kelley-Ross pharmacists to provide
medication-therapy-management services and work with students.
Jenny has recently started working part time
with the Washington State
Pharmacy Association as the director of professional development
while
continuing to work for Kelley-Ross Pharmacy.
She also enjoys volunteering with UW pharmacy
students. She is a preceptor for many student-run events and a faculty
facilitator for the fourth-year geriatric-certificate class. Working
with students keeps Jenny on her toes and gives her a chance to
help them shape their future.
Jenny and her husband, Mike, spend their falls
rooting for the Husky
football team each Saturday, an activity that is easier in some
years than
others! In the winter, they enjoy skiing and playing with their
dog, Jake,
in the snow. Spring and summer are usually filled with golfing,
hiking and
camping. Jenny enjoys cooking; and while Mike doesn’t enjoy
the dishes, he
does like the good eats.
“Working with the PAA helps me connect
the School of Pharmacy with pharmacists in the community,”
said Jenny. “I would like to encourage all my colleagues to
precept students at their work sites and as a volunteer commitment.” |
