SAAM II was developed at the University of Washington over several years and its development was supported by the National Institutes of Health (NIH).

History

From 1995 through 2005, the SAAM Institute Inc. held a license of exclusive rights to SAAM II software, granted by the University of Washington. In 2005, the SAAM II codes returned to the University of Washington as experimental research software, under the stewardship of the SAAM II Team for ongoing research, development and teaching in the area of numerical modeling and population analysis for pharmaceutical and biomedical applications.
