The Computer Vet is a free, help-desk service offered to UW students, faculty, and staff to assist with computing problems such as operating system updates, anti-virus installation and updates, and infected computers blocked from UW network access. Visit the Technology Help Desks on the second floor Odegaard Undergraduate Library and in Mary Gates Hall 131 to learn more about our expanded One-on-One Consultation services for the Catalyst Web Tools, the Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, and others. The hours for the One-on-One Consultation service have been extended to 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday to Friday; the hours for the Technology Help Desks can be found online. |
| OUGL Dawg Prints Center Has Moved Date: 09/18/2008 |
As of September 19th the Odegaard Dawg Prints Center will move its services to the Communications Dawg Prints Center located in the Communications Building B-042. Any refund request, reprints, specialty print jobs, or poster printing can be done by going to the Communications Dawg Prints Center. Those looking to add value to their Husky or Dawg Prints cards can do so online using your VISA or Mastercard by going to UW Housing and Food Services' Husky Card page. You can also add value using cash by going to one of the Husky Card Add Value Stations located in the HUB, Allen North Lobby, or OUGL First Floor, or by going to the Husky Card Office on the ground floor of Odegaard. The hours for the Communications Dawg Prints Center are Monday-Thursday, 8am-8pm, Friday, 8am-6pm and Saturday-Sunday, 1-5pm. |
| Upgrades to the Learning Spaces Date: 08/27/2008 |
During the September break, Learning & Scholarly Technologies (LST) will upgrade 171 workstations in the Odegaard Learning Commons as well as add tabloid sized scanners, upgrade all existing scanners, scanning software, and HDV video editing decks, and install the latest Adobe Design Premium in both the Odegaard Learning Commons and the Mary Gates Hall Computing Resource Center. These upgrades were funded by the UW Student Technology Fee. New workstation specs:

As a CUE member, you will be asked to volunteer once or twice a year as a participant in surveys, interviews, and/or focus groups; we estimate the total time commitment to be about two to three hours per academic year. |
