The University of Washington hatchery reservation calendar for tours in fall is now available via the above link. For further information, invoke the FAQ link above or send email to hatchery @ u dot washington dot edu.

Please note the following important caveats and information:

Transportation and Within-Campus Directions

All schools are required to arrange their own transportation to/from the UW South Campus, where the hatchery is located. Whichever method of travel your school/class utilizes, your tour guide(s) will meet you at 9:30 AM at the Fisheries Center fish pond (please see UW campus map).

Buses

Buses are the recommended method of transportation to/from the UW campus, as parking is limited. They are to travel counter-clockwise along the loop passing Jensen Marine on Boat Street, stopping by the curb along the southern arm of the loop to drop off students. (Be sure not to block the driveway of Jensen Marine.) Buses are then to complete the loop to travel north along 15th Ave N.E., re-entering campus through Gate 5, turning right onto Stevens Way, and then turning right onto Mason Way. They are to park on the right side of Mason Way between the power plant and the N24 parking lot. Bus drivers should plan to return to the loop by 11:00 AM to pick up students.

Cars/Vans

All cars and vans are to drive to Gate 6 to be directed as to where to park. There is a $9.00 all-day parking fee. After the tour, stop at Gate 6 for a partial refund of the parking fee if you've parked for less than 4 hours.
