I. Introduction to long house vocabulary (religion) 
long house: dancing floor

II. instrument used in the long house 
‘the bell’ (the purpose and how they are used)

III. Vocabulary for the ceremony 
e.g. first food; dance; ‘ring the bell’; ‘the beginning of the service’ drummer and the singer’;

food courtesy;

IV. ’a very important part’ about courtesy (7:15)
A long house member requested common courtesy from all native guests: discipline your children, don’t let them run around and play at the dancing floor. After your finish eating, remain seated at the table until the bell ringer calls for the final water to drink, do not gather food, take home and leave, before the last part of the service was completed.  (This was requested by the elders.)

V. Indian food in root feast (8:50) (in Indian)
e.g.. ‘elephant ears’, ‘potato’, ‘snowdrop’…..

VI. 13:07 Questions and answers about dining (followed by explanation)
Its time to eat/its breakfast time/its lunch time/what do you want to eat?/Here is salmon/there is fried bread/There is indian Potato/this is barbecue meat/do you want food/who wants coffee?/…/Dont feel modest, there is plenty food to take home

(2) present tense/indicative nouns and colors

Read aloud the phrases with some pauses between each word (so that students can follow and repeat on their own) 

(3) repetition with all the previous phrases with a long pause between each phrase so that the listener can follow.

e.g  ‘to play, to tease’  as in ‘the girl is playing (with the ball).’
