And the bats, they came out at night, and they flew around at night and they bit the people. And black widow spider came out of his web and he was going around biting people. Everything that was bad happened at night, that\u2019s when [Sahaptin] became angry and he told them \u201cYou folks are eating too many people! From now on, you will only come out one night, one year, and you will no longer hurt and eat people. And that\u2019s when this Halloween happened, called Halloween [Sahaptin], just once a year. One night. Sometimes you might be involved in a community meeting or any kind of meeting and people are talking, viewing their own you know, stating their own views, and you wish to say something, and first number one, you\u2019re asking someone to say something, so if this person looks like he wants to speak and yet he has never had the opportunity so you wanted to give him a few minutes to say something so you ask him:<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">17:25 &#8211; [Sahaptin]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">17:28 &#8211; \u2018Would you like to take a moment to say a few words to us\u2019? Number four: <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">19:55 &#8211; [Sahaptin]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">19:59 &#8211; \u2018They are speaking\u2019. Now they means \u2018more than two people\u2019. Now this is one thing that\u2019s unique about our Indian language we have a duo system and a plural system. The duo system prefixes tell you there are two people talking and the [Sahaptin] system tells you there are more than two people speaking. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">20:29 &#8211; [Sahaptin]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">20:36 &#8211; It\u2019s a command, \u2018be quiet\u2019! You can use this with people who are disruptive in a meeting or in school who are you know making too much noise and other\u2019s can\u2019t hear you can tell them [Sahaptin]. \u2018Be quiet\u2019! It\u2019s not a disrespectful phrase, it\u2019s just to tell them that they are making too much noise and other people can\u2019t hear. Now you\u2019ll see \u201cch\u201d doubled, in our Indian Sahaptin language we say all of the letters. In the Sahaptin, we had to substitute some double letters to make a sound, we have two \u201cch\u201d\u2019s here and you have to say both of them. [Sahaptin], with a long \u201cu\u201d. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">21:44 &#8211; [Sahaptin]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">21:46 &#8211; \u2018Be quiet\u2019. Number six<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">21:51 &#8211; [Sahaptin]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">21:57 &#8211; This could mean \u2018sit quietly\u2019, \u2018don\u2019t make too much noise\u2019 or \u2018be quiet and sit\u2019.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">22:07 &#8211; [Sahaptin]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">22:11 &#8211; \u2018Sit still\u2019, \u2018don\u2019t make too much noise\u2019. [Sahaptin] means \u2018let\u2019, \u2018let us\u2019. \u2018Let\u2019s drink coffee\u2019 and that [Sahaptin] is telling you it\u2019s the present tense. Now number 7a I added [Sahaptin], \u2018let\u2019s go drink coffee\u2019! That means you have to leave where you are and go somewhere else to drink coffee, that\u2019s what that [Sahaptin] adds in its infix it adds that [Sahaptin], see that tells you that you\u2019re going somewhere to drink your coffee. [Sahaptin] \u2018Let\u2019s drink coffee\u2019. Number 8.<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">23:33 &#8211; [Sahaptin]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">23:39 &#8211; There\u2019s your \u201cbarred L: sound, [Sahaptin], \u2018speak slowly\u2019. <\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">23:50 &#8211; [Sahaptin]<\/span><\/p>\n<p class=\"p1\"><span class=\"s1\">23:52 &#8211; \u2018A little slower\u2019, it\u2019s reemphasizing slow, [Sahaptin], is the prefix that emphasizes something.
