Respect for People & Community

One of the keystones of sustainability is respecting people. When it comes to sustainability and medicine, this not only applies to patients and staff, but patient families and friends, external suppliers, and many other consitituents throughout the community as well. Furthermore, optimizing sustainability efforts in medicine requires not only ensuring exceptional health and safety to our patients, staff, and suppliers, it means continually educating them about ways in which they can play a role in a more socially and environmentally responsbile healthcare system.
