The Student Activities Office actively participates in various
campus committees and campus-wide events and encourages UW staff or faculty
members to consult with the SAO in advising registered student organizations
or when working with the ASUW.
SAO Advisers are available to help the UW community in a variety of ways. For example:
- SAO Advisers serve on various advisory and planning committees across campus.
- SAO Advisers serve on student event programming committees.
- SAO Advisers participate in planning joint-department, campus-wide events
such as Dawg Daze and Fall Fling.
- SAO Advisers are free consultants to staff or faculty who serve as an adviser
to a registered student organization.
- SAO Advisers are a resource for departments who provide office space and/or
funding to student organizations within their units.
- The SAO advocates for student organization and government voices in developing
student policy.
