Free Meeting Space
Registered Student Organizations may request free meeting
space in the HUB and SCC for up to two hours per week. Typically, free meeting
rooms are the small to midsize rooms available in the HUB and SCC. Larger meeting
and event spaces, for example the HUB Ballrooms and Auditorium and the SCC 316,
always involve a rental charge.
RSO meeting space requests for two hours or less will not
involve rental charges unless:
- The reservation is made less than three days prior to event date,
- the general public is invited,
- the program involves a political candidate or issue,
- admission or donation is required,
- a special furniture arrangement is needed to accommodate the group
- the room is being used for an event other than internal group business.
The use of audio-visual equipment involves a rental charge.
Food/beverages served in the room involves a cleaning and maintenance charge.
There is a charge for meeting rooms used longer than two hours,
with groups being charged for the entire meeting. A two hour reduction in the
total charge does not apply if a group meeting goes over two hours or is scheduled
to last more than two hours.
