Driving Directions to the HUB from I-5 and SR-520
- From I-5 north or southbound, take SR-520 east (exit 168B).
- From SR-520 east or westbound, take the Montlake Blvd NE exit.
- Turn north onto Montlake Blvd and continue north [toward Husky Stadium].
- Stay to the right as you cross Montlake Bridge, continue north on Montlake Blvd past Husky Stadium. (DO NOT take the
NE Pacific St. fork to the left.)
- Once past Husky Stadium, move to the far left lane.
- After the third pedestrian underpass, you will notice a fork in the road and a traffic light. At the light, take
the left fork onto 25th Ave NE.
- At the next traffic light, (before the sky ramp up NE 45th) turn left onto Pend Orielle Road and proceed up the hill.
- Stop at the gatehouse (Gate #3) for directions and to purchase a parking permit.
Depending on availability, you will be asked to park in one of several lots located near the HUB. Ask the parking attendant for a campus
map and directions from your parking area to the HUB.
If you pay the daytime rate (6 a.m. - 4 p.m.) for your parking permit but stay less than 4 hours, stop at the gate
as you leave for a partial refund.
Disabled Guests
Upon entering campus at any gatehouse, a visitor who is mobility impaired should self-identify in order to be accommodated.
Visitors will be assigned parking in a "disabled" area as close to the HUB as possible, usually N-22. Parking permits for disabled
and wheelchair areas cost the same as for other UW parking areas.
Vehicles parked illegally are subject to citation or towing.
Delivery / Load / Unload Parking @ the HUB
Parking on or near the University of Washington and the HUB is extremely congested. Load zones and/or loading docks have been provided for your convenience at many locations. Please note that load zones are time restricted, usually for 30 minutes.
Depending on the nature of your delivery, you will either be directed to the HUB loading dock (LD), or asked to park in one of several lots located near the HUB (N-22 and other lots require a parking permit). Ask the attendant for a campus map and directions.
Delivery personnel must abide by the following guidelines when driving onto campus:
- Stop at a gatehouse for directions and a permit.
- Have purchase order number(s), delivery or packing
slip or other ID available upon entry.
- Drivers of unmarked delivery vehicles MUST stop
at a gatehouse for a parking permit.
- Do not park on campus sidewalks, grounds, or roadways
no matter how short a time your delivery may take.
Vehicles parked illegally are subject to citation or towing.
Complimentary Parking
The University provides complimentary parking in many lots on weekday evenings from 9:00 p.m. until 6:00 a.m. the following morning, from
9:00 p.m. Friday until 7:00 a.m Saturday, from noon Saturday until 6:00 a.m. Monday, and on University holidays and holiday weekends.
However, complimentary parking may not be available during certain special events, such as home Husky Football games. And some parking
areas are restricted; this means a permit is required at all times. Please check the signs before parking. Valid parking permits are also
required in timed zones, such as load zones.
