Interfraternity Council and Panhellenic Association
Inter Fraternity
Council: The IFC at the University of Washington is the governing
body of the 27 fraternities in its membership. IFC is composed of eight undergraduate
officers and one advisor.
Panhellenic
Association: The Panhellenic Association is the governing body of
the 16 sororities in its membership. The Panhellenic executive board is composed of
eight officers and one advisor.
The responsibilities of both IFC and Panhellenic include planning fraternity and sorority
philanthropic events, hosting roundtable discussions and speakers on important
campus issues, developing leadership skills, educating members about policies and
procedures, and overseeing the membership recruitment process better known as RUSH.
