The HUB Information Desk

Information Desk staff provide information on a wide variety of questions and offer a number of services for the campus community.

Lost and Found

The HUB Info Desk serves as the central lost and found for the UW campus. On an average month we receive over 1000 lost items. If you have lost an item please stop by or email us. You are encouraged to check with us several times as items may be delayed in transit. If you have found an item please turn it in to us as soon as possible. Promptness increases the chances of return to the rightful owner. Please note that items not picked up in a timely fashion may be sold, donated or destroyed.

Public Postings

All flyers or posters placed on any of the public boards inside the HUB must be approved and stamped by a HUB Information Desk staff member prior to posting. Any flyers or posters found in the HUB without the proper approval and stamp will be promptly removed.

Literature Tables

There are five designated tables available across from the HUB Information Desk for use by Registered Student Organizations and campus departments. Tables are to be used solely of the distribution of literature, information and organizational materials. Partisan political activity, sales or commercial activities are prohibited. Reservations for Literature Tables are made at the Information Desk.

Lamination

Our lamination services can accommodate several paper sizes and lamination thickness [3 mil, 5 mil]. Lamination charges may be billed to department budgets or paid in cash.

Fax Services

For a small fee you may use the fax machine at the Info Desk. Fax Number is 206-616-1870.

Fax Costs:
Local: $2.00 up to 5 pages
Long Distance: $3.00 up to 3 pages
1-800: $1.00
Receiving Faxes: $.50 up to 10 pages or $1.00 11+ pages

Locker Rentals

The HUB Lockers are located on the Basement level of the HUB next the HUB Games Area and are available for rental on a quarterly basis. Quarterly rental periods last through the last day of finals week and is the last day to renew or return a locker key without losing the key deposit.

Locker Fees:
$10/quarter for short lockers
$20/quarter for long lockers

Additional Services

The HUB Information Desk also maintains and distributes information and materials about Voter Registration, Metro Transit Bus Schedules, Washington Ferry Schedules, Student Directories, Experimental College Catalogs, Ride Board and Computer & Study Lounge, and is where ASUW Arts & Entertainment Movie Sneak Preview passes are handed out during special showings.
