Sexual Assault & Relationship Violence Information Service (SARIS)
SARIS is a free, confidential and safe starting point for students who are victims/survivors,
friends, family and significant others seeking information about sexual assault and relationship
violence. Through contact with SARIS individuals may learn more about these issues, anonymously
report sexual assault experiences and receive referrals specific to their needs.
University of Washington students may contact SARIS via telephone at 206-685-HELP (685-4357) or
e-mail at saris@u.washington.edu. Voicemail is checked frequently, so please leave a message
if you have general questions. More information can be found on the
SARIS website.
For referral and emergency services when SARIS is unavailable, you may contact the Student
Counseling Center at 206-543-1240, Hall Health Mental Health Clinic at 206-543-5030, the
Crisis Line at 206-461-3222, or King County Sexual Assault Resource Center 1-800-825-7273.
