Tools to work remotely

Husky OnNet VPN

When off campus and needing to access resources on campus you may need to download and install the VPN called Husky OnNet.  Here is the link with the download and setup instructions

Zoom

This is a great option for hosting virtual office hours, meetings, and even class.  There are a few options ranging from a free version to a paid Pro version. See the link below and determine the level you may need.  If a Pro version is needed, it will need to be purchased. Please note that many people will be requesting these over the next for days/weeks, so don’t wait until the last minute to request a license if needed.

Canvas

Many of you already utilize canvas. It is a great resource for classes.

Sharepoint / OneDrive

We have migrated many people over to sharepoint / Onedrive. This is a great option for working remotely because you can get to all of your files from anywhere and any device. If you have not been migrated over to a cloud storage solution, let me know and we can make a plan to migrate you.

Remote Desktop

This gives you the option to connect to your actual desktop computer in your savery hall office from any other computer off campus. This is not the cleanest option for remotely working, but if you have certain software of files stored locally on your machine, this option could be helpful. We would need to setup a meeting to get everything configured. You will need to bring in a laptop to savery to get fully connected via remote desktop.
