The Scan|Design Foundation is sponsoring UW graduate and advanced undergraduate students to study in Denmark during Spring Semester 2009 (UW Winter and Spring Quarters) and Fall Semester 2009 (UW Fall Quarter)
The fellowship allows students to earn UW credit for coursework taught in English at distinguished Danish educational institutions. Fellowships cover UW tuition, airfare, and most living expenses for the semester.
Graduate fellowships: $19,500; Undergraduate Fellowships: $13,000
(The Fellowship awards for 2009 have been increased 30% to adjust for the weak U.S. dollar)

All courses, with the exception of those in the Nordic, History and Comparative Literature departments at the University of Copenhagen, are in English.
In order to enhance their time in the country, fellowship recipients with no prior experience in the language are required to take DANISH 101 prior to departure. Danish 101 is offered during both the day and evening during the academic year, and during the summer as part of the Copenhagen Classroom.
Spring Semester 2009 Deadline: Friday May 30, 2008
Fall Semester 2009: February 15, 2009
Applications from MBA students and all CAUP students (College of Architecture and Urban Planning) accepted only at February 15 deadline
Required for Application:
