UW Leadership Training Programs Funded by the Maternal Child Health Bureau
The Pediatric Pulmonary
Center training program collaborates closely with the four other leadership
training programs that are federally-funded by the Maternal Child Health
Bureau and located at the University of Washington.
MCHB-sponsored leadership
training programs at the University of Washington that are interdisciplinary
include:
- The Pediatric Pulmonary
Center
- The Maternal Child
Health Program in the School of Public Health and Community Medicine
- Leadership Education
in Neurodevelopment and Related Disabilities (LEND).
- The goal of
the LEND program is to improve the health of children who have,
or are at risk for developing, neurodevelopmental or related disabilities.
This is accomplished by preparing trainees from a variety of disciplines
to assume leadership roles and to ensure of clinical competence.

training program at the University of Washington that is designed for
a single discipline include:
- Center for Leadership
Education in Pediatric Dentistry
These four programs
interact collaboratively to provide extensive resources to all of the
trainees in each program for leadership training.

UW-MCH Leadership
Consortium is the administrative structure that coordinates joint leadership
training. The Consortium is responsible for the following activities:
