Major: MSc, Bioresource Science and Engineering
Advisor: Renata Bura
Title of proposed research:

Finding applicable alternative energy sources, which are renewable and environmental friendly, will help to release the energy crisis and environment problems. That is a dream everyone in Biofuel pursuing.

To be a specialist in Bio-renewable field is a goal I set during my undergraduate study, and that is why I am here in BBL working with people from different parts of the world.

Promoting the utilization of xylose, which is one of the most abandon sugars in agricultural residue and woody biomass, was the mainly focus during my past research. Also, I did some genetic test and metabolic analysis in Rhizopus oryzae during the producing of valuable organic acids. My most recent research is using postreatment, like refining, to increase the sugar yield in the following enzymatic hydrolysis.

In a word: The road ahead will be long and our climb will be steep.
