Prof.’s Bura and Gustafson along with Postdoc Rodrigo Morales Vera and doctoral student Chang Dou travelled to Baltimore, MD April 25-28 for the 38th Symposium on Biotechnology for Fuels and Chemicals. Several posters were presented, along with the following oral presentations: “Hydrocarbon bio-jet fuel from bioconversion of poplar biomass: life cycle assessment of site specific impacts”

The 2015 Advanced Hardwood Biofuels Northwest meeting will be held at the UW in Seattle from Sept 8-10.
Sept 2014: Erik Budsberg, Rodrigo Morales,Mandana Ehsanipour and Chang Dou gave oral presentations. Rick Gustafson was the keynote speaker with a talk entitled “Advanced Hardwood Biofuels Northwest (AHB) – A multidisciplinary program to produce sustainable biofuels and bio-based chemicals from woody biomass”.
