the three buildings on fifth ave between Madison and Cherry are imbedded in vashon till over 160' thick,
at the seafirst building the the till had beach sand under approx. 160 foot of till, I drilled soldier piles 104' into the till, and then once excavated approx 90' drilled another 90' for caisons and hit the sand and actually brought up a chunk of wood from the beach sand under the till at that point.

Do you suppose some of these great thicknesses of till can be explained by flow tills or landsliding?
