Wilson Ly is a recent graduate from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. He majored in mathematics and also received a certificate in finance. Although he is not sure about his specific interests in mathematics, he is currently leaning towards abstract algebra. Recently, he attended the Thematic Program in Commutative Algebra and its Interaction with Algebraic Geometry (in honor of Bernd Ulrich). Following SIMUW, Wilson will begin working at the Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Lab as an analyst and hopes to attend graduate school in mathematics in the near future. Outside of mathematics, Wilson enjoys playing and watching basketball, cooking, and poker.
