This website is a resource for patients and health care providers
Dermatologic Surgery is a branch of the medical specialty of Dermatology.
Physicians trained in dermatology are trained in cutaneous surgery, including how
to manage skin cancers, how to use laser and other modalities for skin diseases,
and cosmetic enhancement. Extra training for dermatologists in cutaneous
surgery may also be obtained in fellowships following completion of dermatology
residency training.
Dermatologic Surgery at the
University of Washington Medical Center
focuses on diagnosis and treatment of
skin cancer,
as well as general dermatological surgery procedures. The specialized
surgical techniques performed include:
skin cancer surgery
including
Mohs micrographic surgery,
laser surgery,
and
cosmetic procedures
including
hair transplantation,
and non-surgical
facial rejuvenation
including injectable Restylane and
Botox ® (botulinum toxin).
We are a part of the
Division of Dermatology,
Department of Medicine,
at the
University of Washington.
In addition, Dr. Berg is associated with the nearby
Cosmetic Surgery Center.
