A light breakfast will be provided from 8:30-9:30am in Mobius Hall, followed by service events from 9:30am - 12:30pm (times will vary depending on the activity). Lunch will be provided in Mobius Hall from 1:00pm - 2:30pm. Lunch will also include speakers and a reflection discussion of the day’s activities as well as a recognition time to thank all of the wonderful volunteers. Join Poverty Action Network (PAN) on MLK Day 2013 as we urge our lawmakers to advocate for: Expanding Need-Based Financial Aid, Basic Needs Programs, Fair Housing, Health Care for All, and Racial Equity. The ILA has been created to provide a space for organizations and individuals devoted to issues of culture, diversity or social justice to find support, dialogue about campus issues, and share ideas. The retreat will allow students to explore the impact of social identity on campus, formulate plans to address issues on campus and identify the needs and areas for intercultural collaboration on campus. In addition to gaining official recognition, you’ll learn about all the great resources available to you, and the various policies and laws governing student clubs. The SAF Committee is accepting applications for the annual budgeting cycle from November 30, 2012 until 5:00pm on January 16th, 2013. The intent of the annual funding cycle is to support on-going student activities, services, and programs. Services and Activities Fees are defined in RCW 28B.15.041 to mean “fees, other than tuition fees, charged to all students registering at the . . . state universities . . . The legislature also recognizes that Services and Activities Fees are paid by students for the express purpose of funding student activities and programs” of their particular institution.
Have a say in how your fees are used! These funds will be available for the 2013 to 2014 academic year. Annual request applications are now available on HuskySync under "Forms" and are due on Wednesday January 16th, 2013 by 5:00pm. Late applications will not be accepted, except at the discretion of the Committee. Adjustments to the final total requested by any club, group, organization, or department will not be accepted. After a request has been submitted, it may not be reopened for alterations or changes. Questions? Please contact SAF.
