SMEA's very own Associate Professor Terrie Klinger and colleagues have been awarded a $3 million National Science Foundation (NSF) Integrative Graduate Education Research Traineeship (IGERT) grant to develop an interdisciplinary Ph.D. program for students interested in studying the societal and environmental issues of ocean changes brought about by climate change. Prof. Klinger is the lead Principal Investigator (PI) on this grant, which was only one of 18 selected by NSF out of 400 submissions.
