The University of Washington student chapter of The Coastal Society (TCS) and Puget Soundkeeper Alliance will be hosting Blue Drinks on Tuesday, February 7th starting at 4 pm. This quarter’s event will be held off-campus at Puget Soundkeeper Alliance headquarters located at 5305 Shilshole Ave NW Suite 150, Seattle, WA 98107. Blue Drinks is a quarterly networking opportunity for TCS-UW members and affiliates which joins marine affairs professionals with students in an effort to share information, learn about future career opportunities, and serve as a study break. Free drinks and snacks will be provided.
Breena Apgar-Kurtz, second-year SMEA student and TCS-UW President, stated this quarter’s event “is a great opportunity to learn about Puget Soundkeeper Alliance from Barbara Owens, a SMEA alumna who is the Pollution Prevention Coordinator.”
Join TCS-UW members after the event for a tide-pool tour of Golden Gardens with the Seattle Aquarium’s Beach Naturalists.
