SMEA Granted $5,000 for Collaborative Workspace

A Collaborative Workspace for students is coming to South Campus, thanks to a grant from the Student Technology Fee (STF).  The STF Committee granted the School of Marine and Environmental Affairs (SMEA) $5,000 to install the new space.  The grant will transform MAR 237 into a dedicated space for group projects, featuring a 60" monitor with touch-screen capabilities utilizing HP's Pocket Whiteboard technology.  In addition, the space will allow for videoconferencing with up to 100 participants using Adobe Connect software.  The Collaborative Workspace will be available by online reservation within the coming months.
