Help Our Students Travel (HOST)
HOST (Help Our Students Travel) pairs alumni volunteers from across the country with fourth-year students who need a place to stay while interviewing for residency programs. We need alumni hosts who live in cities with universities and hospitals that have residency programs.
Volunteers provide a student with accommodations for one or more nights. Along with a place to stay, many hosts offer information about public transportation to and from the interview, and other information about the city that may become the student’s new home. Students greatly appreciate your help, as some travel to 10 or more cities for interviews. Volunteer.
Timing and Confirmation
Residency interviews take place from October through January. When we set up a student-alumni match, we will provide the alumni with information on the student, as well as contact information. Students will receive contact information for their alumni host and are responsible for confirming their stay and travel details.
