Welcome to the Office for Research and New Initiatives
The University of Washington School of Pharmacy
Office of Research is dedicated to improving public health through
our innovative and pioneering research in basic science, translational
science, clinical science, and pharmaceutical health outcomes and
policy that leads to understanding about drug action and disposition,
to innovative drug products. Some of these innovations have led
to effective clinical practices and public health policies that
improve human healthcare.
The school supports interdisciplinary and innovative
approaches to healthcare that promotes collaboration, diversity
of thought and mutual respect. The School also supports and conducts
research and provide graduate education in drug discovery, disposition,
pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism and development, and in pharmaceutical
outcomes research to improve decision-making regarding pharmaceutical
therapy and policy. Thanks to the outstanding faculty and their
noted research, the school is honored to be ranked one of the top
pharmacy schools and colleges in the United States.
We welcome your inquiries, comments or potential
areas of collaboration including, but not limited to, our ongoing
programs in drug delivery, disposition, pharmacokinetics, drug metabolism,
