Our mandatory, graduate student orientation will held on two days: Monday September 23rd and Tuesday September 24th from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in Eagleson Hall (1417 NE 42nd Street). All new SPHSC graduate students are required to attend this event, so please mark your calendar. All M.S. and Au.D. students should also anticipate additional orientation activities throughout their first week of school specific to clinical coursework and procedures.
During orientation, SPHSC faculty and staff will provide valuable information about your graduate program. For your convenience, a folder containing the orientation schedule and other relevant materials will be available for pick up on Friday, September 20th. You will find the packet in your new department mailbox located in Eagleson Hall. Please plan to pick up your materials and bring them with you to orientation.
If for any reason you cannot attend this orientation, please contact your assigned Graduate Program Advisor immediately.
2013-2014 Tuition Rates
The UW graduate tuition rates and fees for the 2013-2014 academic year will be released by the UW Planning and Budget Office this summer. Detailed information on the current tuition amounts and fees for each specific degree program is located on the "Tuition & Fees" sections of our website. This information will be updated once the final tuition rates are released.
HSIP Program / Mandatory TB & Flu Clinics
All new CoreSLP, MedSLP and Au.D. students are required to attend annual tuberculosis and flu shot clinics held on campus each fall. Attendance at all scheduled clinics is a requirement of the UW Health Sciences Immunization Program (HSIP) in which you will enroll. The HSIP health fee students pay covers the costs association with these clinics, which are scheduled on the following dates:
- Wednesday 9/25 from 2:30-5:30
- Friday 9/27 from 2:30-5:30
- Monday 9/30 from 3:00-5:00
Before you arrive this fall, we will finalize the location of the clinics and will ask you to sign up for specific time slots. Each student must attend two clinics. Students will attend either Wednesday/Friday or Friday/Monday clinics. The initial clinic time will be for administering the tuberculosis PPD skin test and flu shot. The follow-up clinic time will be for PPD readings. Please carefully review the HSIP 2013 Fall Clinics document which provides important details about these clinics and your attendance.
