Aphasia Clinic Intro > Application Process
ADULT APHASIA CLINIC
Application Process

WHAT WILL HAPPEN AFTER WE SUBMIT AN APPLICATION?

  • You will be contacted by our clinic to indicate that your application has been received
  • You may be asked to provide additional information if needed
  • Once the application has been reviewed, you will be notified if the individual with aphasia meets our criteria for this special program (according to completed application materials). Please note: If the individual with aphasia is not well suited for this program, we will do our best to recommend alternative options in our clinic or the community when possible.

WHAT HAPPENS WHEN WE ARE ACCEPTED TO THE SPECIAL PROGRAM?

  • The individual with aphasia will then be scheduled for a pretreatment assessment that will take place during the Spring quarter of 2009. This will include 2 appointments of approximately 2 hours each in length
    • An assessment fee of $100 will be due at the onset of the 1st evaluation session.
    • The individual with aphasia must attend the 2 pretreatment assessment sessions in order to have a place guaranteed in the summer program. Without the assessment we will be unable to provide summer treatment.
