Clinic Overview
The UW Speech & Hearing Clinic is an outpatient center providing valued service to the community while serving as a clinical education and research facility. The clinic is a living laboratory in the Department of Speech and Hearing Sciences with graduate students training to become audiologists and speech-language pathologists. The U.S. News and World Report rank our graduate programs in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology in the top five in the country! Our students provide services under the supervision of audiologists and speech-language pathologists who are who are experts in their field. Each supervisor is nationally certified by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association (ASHA) and licensed by the Washington Department of Health. By offering services in this teaching outpatient clinic, we are able to provide excellent care at affordable rates.
Registration is now open for the inaugural UW Summer Intensive Aural Rehabiliation Conference (SIARC), to be held June 12-16. Hard-of-hearing individuals attend SIARC with their communication partners to learn strategies for coping with hear loss and improving communication. Participants also learn about the newest hearing technology in classes lead by Speech & Hearing faculty and graduate Audiology students. Space is limited.
