The postbaccalaureate program is designed for students with bachelor's degrees in other disciplines who want to pursue graduate study in audiology or speech-language pathology. The program can be completed in five quarters and requires two summers of attendance. Students must complete the following 68 credits:

Additional Requirements
To be certified to practice by the American Speech and Hearing Association, students must also complete the following four requirements:
1. 
A Math or Statistics course
2. 
A Biological Science course
3. 
A Physical Science course
4. 
A Social or Behavioral Science course

Note: To fulfill these math and basic science requirements:

  • Courses must appear on your college transcript.
  • Courses can consist of any number of credits.
  • Courses can be taken for a grade, pass/fail, or satisfactory/unsatisfactory.
  • Courses must be taken outside the Speech and Hearing Sciences Department or equivalent (e.g., a communications disorders department, communication sciences department).

If you need to complete these additional requirements, the courses can be added to your postbaccalaureate program.
