Predoctoral
Three predoctoral Research Training Positions will be available in the Speech and Hearing Sciences Training Program at the University of Washington starting September 15, 2009.
The goal of the training program is to provide interdisciplinary training to outstanding individuals working toward the PhD degree in communication sciences or in a related field. Training grant preceptors are members of the departments of Speech and Hearing Sciences, Electrical Engineering, Psychology, Biology, Otolaryngology, Orthodontics, Physiology and Biophysics, and Rehabilitation Medicine. Students currently enrolled in a graduate program at the University of Washington, under the mentorship of a Training Program faculty member are eligible to apply. Students newly accepted for doctoral study in one of the programs associated with the Training Program will also be considered. Candidates should submit a CV, a 3-page predoctoral research proposal and a 1-page description of planned coursework and any other planned (e.g., teaching or clinical) training activities, 2 letters of recommendation and a letter of support from the proposed mentor.
