Parallel and divergent pathways

The different nuclear sections and their inputs and outputs form multiple pathways through the brain, not just a single pathway through which all the nerve fibers pass. These multiple pathways are parallel to each other, but donŐt even always go through the same nuclei, as you can work out here.
