Biographical informationDr. Herrenkohl is an Associate Professor of Social Work at the University of Washington. His research interests include the consequences of child maltreatment and resilience in children, youth violence, and prevention. Dr. Herrenkohl has worked with other researchers at the University of Washington and elsewhere to establish through longitudinal studies a broad range of risk and protective factors for youth violence, delinquency, and mental health problems among adolescents. His recent publications address the etiology of youth violence and promising prevention approaches.
