First, Bart counseled adolescents who were at-risk for or who had developed substance use disorders. Second, Bart worked for an organization that provided counseling services for children, adolescents, and their families. Bart was also a research assistant on the Infant and Child Development Project at the University of Chicago. His current research interests include the prevention of child maltreatment and the promotion of positive development. Bart is interested in the early years of life (0-5) and the importance of quality early attachment relationships.
